Your audio files
Your audio files are never uploaded. When you choose a file, it is read into your browser's own memory and processed on your device. The whole conversion — decoding, pitch analysis, note building and MIDI file writing — happens in your browser and finishes in your browser. The MIDI file you download is generated on your machine.
The site has no upload endpoint, no server-side processing, and no storage. We could not receive your audio even if we wanted to, because nothing is ever sent.
What we do not collect
- No account and no sign-up, so there is no name, email address or password to hold.
- No analytics or usage tracking on the converter.
- No copies of your files, your results, or your search terms.
Advertising, now and later
There is no advertising on this site today.
We do intend to display third-party advertising on this site in the future, most likely through an ad network such as Google AdSense. When that happens, those advertising providers may use cookies or similar technologies and may collect information about your visit under their own privacy policies, which we do not control. This page will be updated before any advertising is switched on.
One thing that will not change: the conversion itself stays in your browser. Adding advertising to the page does not add an upload step to the tool.
Cookies
The converter itself does not need cookies to work, and does not set any. If third-party advertising is added later, that advertising may set cookies on this site.
Children
This tool is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect anything from anyone, of any age.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page.
